Testimonials

"I will remember the restful night I had in West Chezzetcook and Grand Desert, where, in the night, I could feel my ancestors singing to me. And a quote by Elizabeth Bishop “homemade, homemade, but aren’t we all? Merci et a bientot."
Suzie, N.S.

"Thank you very much for your warm and inviting hospitality to a “last minute” guest who found the perfect B&B while just “winging it” in Nova Scotia. I will always remember this special time... Thank you so much for your delicious food"

"Only here one night, wish it was eternity. Warm surroundings, warm house, hot coffee and breakfast. This house breathes comfort and warmth almost as much as the hosts. So many things to say.... a truly hidden jewel on the coast of the New World."

Changing Tides!

Located in the village of Grand Desert, an Acadian community, that has lived off what the land and sea has provided for hundreds of years.

A beautiful house and a breathtaking view of the ocean, wetlands and islands await you. A quiet sandy beach is just a walk away. We have clean comfortable beds, spacious rooms with en suites, ocean breezes and delicious breakfasts.

In June and July you can pick wild strawberries at the beach, while August and September will offer wild blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries and fox berries.

We are just a 30 to 40 minute drive away from the airport, golfing and the historic port cities of Halifax and Dartmouth. There is a pub, cafes and a great Italian restaurant within a 5 min. drive.

Take a walk on quaint roads or hike the trails. You can bird watch, bike, swim, surf and windsurf locally or just enjoy a quiet book on one of our decks.
